New Year’s Eve – Long Reef

Situated on the northern end of Dee Why Beach, Long Reef Beach is not well known amongst Sydney-siders and is mostly frequented by locals. It extends for almost 2km from the base of Long Reef Point to Dee Why Point and is backed by Dee Why Lagoon.

The New Year’s Eve fireworks are set off from a barge – right off Dee Why Beach – and can be seen up and down the northern beaches coast.

The display starts at 9pm and families are invited to come down for a meal in one of the Dee Why restaurants or to have a picnic in the reserve.
